Are you aged 18-30 and have an interest in archives and heritage?
Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage is delivering a course over five days that provides an opportunity to learn from archives and heritage industry specialists, as a part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Unearthed: Forgotten Histories. The course is aimed at young people with African and African Caribbean, Asian and Latinx heritage based in the UK, who are currently under-represented in the heritage sector.
The course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of working with archives, which enhances opportunities for future careers and qualifications. focuses on the development of key skills associated with archives and the future of the sector. After the success of the Young Archivists programme in 2022 and 2023, participants pursued careers in libraries, began further education qualifications and obtained employment as a result of the course.
